Never let the conservatives or the Republicans browbeat us into believing they are more patriotic than we are. Few public commentators are hitting as hard as Keith Olbermann from MSNBC. Thanks to the wonder of the Internet, this commentary is available for all. This was broadcast last night.

Olbermann is the only t.v. newsperson/commentator with any guts and integrity. We need to thank him for what he's doing.

Keith O. is the last living genuine broadcast journalist. We need to flood msnbc with thanks and push their ratings through the roof whenever Countdown airs!

Thanks for posting this, it's excellent. I don't always get a chance to see Olbermann, I'm going to make a greater effort and go to MSNBC and see if I can thank him too. Since 9/11,I've stood in front of one of the written copies of the Gettysburg address and wept, reading this commentary did it to me too -that seems healthy.
I watched that biased show the other night -wasn't going to, but thought it unfair to be a critic without seeing it. Too many irresponsible pot shots delivered in sneaky/subtle ways, especially the thing with the FISA court and having a truly great leader like Massoud deliver a fictitious line about the state of "men" in Washington -they can only do it because he's dead, no thanks to the current lot of (cough) "men". What interests me is that the writer never made up a conversation featuring Bin Laden, and seemed not to be able to decide whether he's an empty set of robes and a figurehead for the aims of his underlings or if he's a larger than life legend with the ability to inspire martyrdom and both create and slay dragons. To me, he was depicted as more the second -I'm sure that wasn't what was intended, maybe Osama will send a thank you tape to ABC for the free PR.
I think there should be a special section of damnation reserved for anyone who takes the faith or better nature of man and uses it for his own self-serving ends, but in the meantime we all suffer.
